About

Python & Finance Hub is the research site of Jose Manuel. I write about listed companies, sectors and markets, and about the Python tools I use to analyse them.

How the research is done

Company work starts from primary sources: annual and quarterly reports filed with the SEC, company releases and earnings calls. Figures in the posts link to where they come from, so you can check them.

The models, screens and charts are built in Python. Many posts walk through the code step by step, so you can run the same analysis yourself.

I use AI tools to help with research and drafting. Every post is checked against its sources before it is published, and corrections are made in the post when something turns out to be wrong.

When I hold a position in a company I write about, the post says so at the top.

Sector Playbook

The full company deep dives, including the valuation work, go out in my newsletter, Sector Playbook. This site carries the business analysis, the sector primers and the Python tutorials.

Not investment advice

Everything here is general information and education. Nothing on this site is a recommendation to buy or sell a security, and none of it takes your personal situation into account. Details are in the Terms and Conditions and the Legal Notice.
